code to accept values form keyboard dynamically in Microsoft Dynamics 2012
Could you tell us what you're trying to achieve and then formulate a question?
I mean instead of hardcoding the values in the X++ code, I want to accept it dynamically from console like C language----- scanf(); statement
AX isn't a console application; it has graphical user interface. Therefore you can use forms to get input from users.
yeah I do agree with Martin, you need to use Dialog in AX, to get value dynamically from user.
You can intercept some keys with the .task() method on a form, but ultimately you're not getting direct access to the keyboard. With .task() you can intercept some hotkeys and redirect their actions, such as hitting Escape on a form behaving differently than standard, but some hotkeys are absorbed by the top level window, action panes, global menus, etc., and never reach the form.
