We use axapta 3.0 SP4 KR3 with oracle databaseWe have a form(custom) that aims to retrieve data from another oracle database system for collaboration with existing data in axapta in financial terms, the constraint we face is to open the form takes 2 hours, is there a solution to solve it?
Not sure if Oracle supports some sort of replication, but that would be your best bet.
Bring the data closer to your AX DB, instead of fetching it programmatically from an external source.
Also make sure you have covering indexes if you do any sorting / grouping for the fields.
Then finally, make sure your index and statistics are updated regularly to avoid fragmentation.
Can you please make sure you tick the checkboxes for helpful answers next to each post, so the topic gets resolved? Thank you.
This is not an oracle replication but in sequence the process is as follows
We have an oracle database that will be pulled data by the form (custom) to be inserted into the oracle database that is connected to axapta, the illustration as below:
others db | Axapta | axapta db
Oracle | Form | Oracle
1 -> 2 <-> 3
To open point number 2 that takes> 2 hours
Before we perform in the operational applications,
We've tried in application development to do indexing in axapta db up to reduce data in axapta db but still not solve the problem
You should eliminate 1->2->3 step, it should be 1->3 if possible. I am sure there are better/faster ways to move data from one database server to another without putting another application in the middle.
