This error occurs when I click on the template wizard to export data into excel in dynamics ax 2009
did it work before? What was changed before it stopped working?
What operating system version the AX client is running on?
No, this is my first time working on it.
I am working on AX 2009.
Great, and could you tell what operating system version the AX client is running on?
No, I mean operating system version = Windows version.
Windows Server 2012 R2
Based on your AX build number you have Dynamics AX 2009 RTM version: cloudblogs.microsoft.com/.../
If you look at AX 2009 system requirements, you will notice that: "Windows Server 2012 R2, Standard Edition or Datacenter Edition is supported with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 with Rollup 8 and the hotfix from Knowledge Base article 3209897. "
This could explain your issue. I have seen Excel issues when AX 2009 client was run on a newer Windows version than it supported.
Are you really using AX 2009 RTM version in a live system? You should definetely update to the latest available version.
