I'm working with threads in AX 2012, everything was fine until yesterday, thread seems not to run. I've attempt to debug it, but debugger doesn't enter in thread code, and when i use thread.status(), it gives me "3", but unfortunately this value isn't documented (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/thread.status.aspx).
Any clue? Thanks in advance
PS : I also tried thread.statustext() and thread.statuscounter(), both returning nothing, and thread.set/getErrorLog with any result.
I got the same problem, I can test thread run successfully in the Job, but when I call it in Report Data Provider, thread status return value 3.
I try to search google,
0 = Thread never ran
1 = Thread is executing
2 = Thread has finished executing
Don't have value 3.
Does anyone has solution for this issues?
thread.status() == 3 means job (thread) was aborted... I received this result in ax 2009 when I ran my threads from server method. Thread().run methods were server, but the method i called them from had to be Client other way i received status == 3 and my threads did not execute at all. Hope this post will help somebody =)
AX2012 allows multiple threads in batch process, have you tried to do it that way instead using threads?. There are some advantage, batch process informs you the percentage that the aos has completed, and you can also see wich tasks are completed, with error o running.
I thought about that... but i work with ax 2009... and i am not shure that batch process allows as many threads as i can make using threads directly from code, in fact i did not see into batch details enough. Can i determine how many threads will be used in batch? I need max performance it is the only target in my case. And using threads i also can see wich threads are completed and see error log.
I am facing the same issue. Did you the solution?
