2015 was a busy and successful year for the Encore blog! This is due in large part to our blog readers coming back again and again for knowledgeable and insightful information. Here is a look back at the most popular 2015 ERP and CRM blog posts written by Encore staff:

5.  How To Sign Up and Add Users to CustomerSource

CustomerSource is a Microsoft portal offered to registered Dynamics Users, known as Professionals. The Portal provides 24-7 self-support, self-training, software updates, hotfixes, news, knowledge base, and company-specific licensing information. Users must request access to CustomerSource from a registered CustomerSource Administrator from within their company or a VAR contact (ex. Encore Business Solutions). Read on for full instructions for signing up and adding users to CustomerSource.

4. How To: Find and Enter Your Microsoft Dynamics GP Registration Keys

To activate additional users or modules within GP you must enter in the registration keys within Microsoft Dynamics GP. Registration Keys are no longer emailed but are now found in Microsoft’s Portal CustomerSource. For detailed instructions in finding and entering Dynamics GP Registration Keys, click here.

3. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 Overview & New Features

Encore hosted a webinar outlining the new features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015.  We talked about some of the small improvements made to NAV 2015 over NAV 2013 R2, new developments to the RapidStart partner tool, new Cash Management features, and enhanced Power BI and Social Listening capabilities. Read on to view the webinar video and transcript.

2. Document Attach in Dynamics GP: Using and Enabling

In the past, the ability to attach documents and images to your records in Microsoft Dynamics GP has been addressed through OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) notes. The former three step approach has been replaced in Dynamics GP 2013 R2 with a feature called Document Attachment. Read more about letting Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2 do the filing for you.

And our number 1 most popular blog post written in 2015 is:

1. How Do You Create Alerts With Microsoft Dynamics CRM Javascript?

So often in CRM, users need to be alerted of their actions. For example, a typical alert might be a message that warns you when a user attempts to enter a text string into a numeric field. Dynamics CRM 2013 and 2015 introduced new alert methods: setFormNotification and setNotificationRead on for a demonstration on how the new alert methods are different from the classic one, and how they can be used.
