After update to iOS 8, about half of our iPad Air units lost the "..." menu in the lower-right hand corner of the screen (used for contextual actions). We've tried to uninstall / reinstall Dynamics CRM for tablets, reboot the iPads a few times, upgrade to iOS 8.0.2, and nothing works. A downgrade to iOS 7.x works fine, but that's impossible for those iPads purchased with 8.x. Would love to hear if anyone's having the same issue and/or has a solution!
Oh, and we're using CRM online (org.crm.dynamics.com).
Oh, not awesome :( What is MS's typical cadence for CRM for iPad releases? My users are super frustrated!!
Right, typical cadence != fixed schedule. Tough to say given history:

I'm having the exact same problem with iOS 8.1
The issue did manifest itself in iOS 8.0.* but was easily fixed by closing app and re-opening.
That doesn't work now; I've even tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but same problem.
Renders it pretty much unusable IMHO
I was wondering if this issue has been solved. I am seeing this occur on my IPad Air and am in the process of releasing the APP to my salesforce. Last thread on this was in Oct.
As far as I know this has not been solved. It still happens to my device, randomly it seems. Restarting the app doesn't always work, neither does reconfiguring. Very frustrating....
Hi, have you tried Resco Mobile CRM? It works on iOS 8 and there's also a free version of the app.

The new iOS app works fine for CRM 2015, but not CRM 2013. It is very disappointing since we are using IFD and the on-premise version is not available at the moment.
When is CRM2015 available do you know...?
It is very serious issue for us as well! All our new iPads cannot use the app due to this issue. It is creating a very significant impact!
Does anyone know that Microsoft is planing to fix this issue for CRM2013?

It's a major problem for us; the sales team are all soon to be using iPads and won't be able to if this issue isn't resolved...
cheese_aholic - if you really need a functioning app, try Resco Mobile CRM for MS Dynamics CRM. It's a 3rd party app, yes, but it just works.
Thanks for that suggestion; unfortunately 3rd party apps won't work with my company 2 factor authentication security policy...
I think we might have a workaround for 2 factor authentication. Can you give me details on how is the authentication set up, so I can verify if I am on the right track with my idea?
