As per client requirement I have to integrate Microsoft GP 2013 with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015. Any good documentation or help will be really appreciated.
Did you check Dynamics Connector ?? if you are Microsoft partner you could get it from customer sourc, there you will also get documentation for the same. Other options are using Scribe, writing custom connector using GP web service/or Econnect, you can download GP SDK and there are other add on are also available.
For GP integration you can use the options below with their own pros and cons:
1. MS Dynamics Connector for GP(Preferred)
Pros: It is free of cost
Cons: It is far improved than earlier but troubleshooting will require some learning. As internet communities are there it will not be much problematic.
2. Scribe connector:
Pros: It will be easy to troubleshoot and configure. All features of MS Connector are available
Cons: Its comes at a price which small project can not accommodate.
3. Custom Connector*using .net, C#):
Pros: Everything is under your control and can be easily tweaked
Cons: Development will take time and stability also needs to taken into account
Thanks Surmeet, Do you have any documentation for MS Dynamics Connector for GP (option 1)? As I am new to this and don't have any knowledge how to use it.
For connector installation:
We are using connector and, while it is customization, I'd tend to lean around cautious side. While it has its benefits with ease of configuration, there are parts that cannot be customized. Logging is not great IMHO. Every transaction that runs does now show me the XML of data transferred or received. The documentation is also lacking. The filter conditions are good, but they are not as flexible as SCRIBE. I'm not favoring scribe, but it is definitely more flexible, and yes comes at a price. Another one that I'm looking at is SmartConnect. On that note, does anyone have any experience with it?
