Is it possible to create a workflow that will immediately email a new contact created in CRM? The workflow is to fire from the contact creation entity. For my requirements, this contact will most likely have an external email address, not a user in CRM. I've tried to do it but the Form Assistant doesn't give me a field for email address. The lookup in the "To" field of the email form only seems to allow static addresses (contacts already created).
Thanks in advance.
You can send email to unresolved address as well, you need to make sure following option is set to yes, under System Settings
Thank you, I have that setting. But what I am referring to is the Form Assistant. Where is the Email address field? Or even the contact field? When I position my cursor in the "To" lookup, I don't have it. I only have it when I put it in the body of the email, which of course doesn't help me. Is it not possible to have dynamic contact creation? This is all happening on contact creation so the contact will be created, but it doesn't seem to be accessible within the email.
Thanks for the help, I have decided to go the custom workflow route on this issue. I was hoping to do it without writing code but that seems to be the most straightforward solution at this point.
