I am facing an issue with the SSRS report we created for MS Dynamics CRM. The SSRS report runs fine on BIDS(2008) but when it is deployed on CRM and run from there we get the following download option .if anyone know this please help me
Why is the report set to be other report and not SSRS report (under report type)?
I think you have imported some other file extension other than rdl. Make sure the file you are importing in Report is .rdl
yes this is rdl file .this crm is on premise so that i created report using sql based ,report runs fine on BIDS(2008) but when i deploying crm showing download option
created in visual studio 2008.please find below screen shot file
under report type is existing file not report wizard actually, this is on premise crm 2013 (fetch xml not support this version )
so that created report using ssrrs
When we create a report in SSRS it creates two files. One is .rdl and one is rdl.data . I think you have imported rdl.data in your CRM Report
When you import an SSRS report into Dynamics 365, it should show up as SQL Server Reporting Services report, and not Other Report.
In Reports View, click new, select existing and select the RDL file. When you Save the record it should be SSRS.
If it's not I think you are either uploading the wrong file, or something in the report is corrupt.
Hi Mohd Saad Akhtar
