Currently when our users try to link an email to an opportunity, the opportunities that are listed are sorted by Opportunity Name. We would like them to be sorted by a date field, so they can see the most recent activity. Since they are only able to see 10 opportunities and some accounts have 50 opportunities, they might not be able to find the opportunity they are trying to link to.
try changing sort order on the Opportunity Lookup view - go to settings->customizations->customize the system, find Opportunity entity, then do this:
And don't forget to publish the changes..
please sort by date in view which you are using
