We are currently evaluating marketing automation solutions for our organization, which is a seasoned manufacturing org of about 1,400 employees with a large global footprint (though largest market in the US). We are a small marketing ops team and need a solution that isn't too robust, and is still easy to use, while giving us solid email, analytics, and lead management functionality (can elaborate further if necessary).
Did you check out Dynamics 365 for Marketing? This is part of Dynamics 365 v9.
This is included for free for customer with 10 licenses of a Customer Engagement Plan.
Of course it is somewhat based on the number of contacts in the system, but you should contact MS for exact licensing questions.
Hope this helps.
