I new to fetchxml so need some help in designing query for ssrs. Here is my requirement
I have a custom entity called forecast which is in 1:N relation with opportunity entity. There could be many child forecast against opportunity. Forecast has a currency field called amount and forecast date. Now i need to show a list of open opportunities on ssrs report and for each opportunity row i need to show sum(amount fields) from its related forecast child records by month( based on forecast date field on child record)
So my coulmns would
Opportunity id, name, customer, est revenue, forecast in this month, forecast for next quarter, forecast for next year etc.
Could you please help me how to design this query? Does it need two datasets on ssrs report? One for opportunity and one for related child forecasts? How to show sum of amount field from related child records on opportunity row?
I recommend you to try it with the FetchXMLBuilder. It's a plugin of the XrmToolBox.
You can build a query and test the result. Hope this helps.
If you have still some problems building your query, please post your query here.
