We're using Dynamics 365 in our business and we've got a request from the sales team to implement a way of 'categorising' quick campaigns that are sent. Each sales team sends out offers via email through the use of Quick Campaigns. These offers are for a variety of different product categories (toiletries, homewares, petcare...). I've been asked to investigate whether there is a way to categorise a quick campaign with the category of offer being sent. E.g. if a user is sending a toiletries offer, ideally an optionset-style field would be shown during the quick campaign wizard for the user to choose the category -> I'd envisage this being on the same page as when the user enters a name/description for the Quick Campaign.
I've looked at customising the entity but it's all locked down and you cannot add new fields.
Is there a way to do this? Either within Dynamics or through the use of plugins / JS?
Thanks in advance
You can have a lookup field on E-mail such as "Campaign Category" to report these E-mails depending on the campaign category. You can select the category on the e-mail template in the wizard while quick campaign is being created.
Thanks that's a great work-around!
