Please can I get assistance I have a customer that is trying to sent mail from CRM using an exchange mailbox he gets a return error message: The server response was: 5.7.57 Client not authenticated to send mail. [JN2P275CA0048.ZAFP275.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM]"}
We really need urgent assistance as we have this ticket open for a long time now
This might help you: stackoverflow.com/.../5-7-57-smtp-client-was-not-authenticated-to-send-anonymous-mail-during-mail-fr
From this thread: "You need to set "UseDefaultCredentials" to false first and then set Credentials. If you set "UseDefaultCredentials" after that it resets the NetworkCredential to null."
Thank you very much for the article shared with me.
Also the thread was helpful which made us receive a different error: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.57 Client not authenticated to send mail. Error: 535 5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful, SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Tenant. Visit aka.ms/smtp_auth_disabled for more information. [JN2P275CA0026.ZAFP275.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM]"} System.Net.Mail.SmtpException
When following the link in the error it leads to an article most of which we have in place, but states this.
Simple the link refers to SMTP Client Authentication
SMTP Client Auth is enabled on the tenant so I have went and disabled it
I will advise with further outcome
SMTP Client Auth is enabled on the tenant so I have went and disabled it.
The above sorted out the issue.
