Hi, I am working on a power bi report , my requirement is to select multiple records from Power bi and view those records in Model driven app to perform further review on all the selected records.
Go through the link; https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/use-power-bi
You can use the "Power BI integration" feature to achieve this requirement. This feature allows you to embed a Power BI report into a Model-Driven app, and then use that report to select multiple records and view them within the app.
Here are the high-level steps to achieve this:
Create a Power BI report that allows you to select multiple records. You can use a table or matrix visualization to display the records, and then use a slicer or checkbox filter to allow users to select multiple records.
Once the report is created, you can add it to a Model-Driven app by going to "Settings" -> "Power BI" -> "New Embed" in the app. You can then configure the embed settings, such as the size and layout of the report within the app.
Once the Power BI report is embedded in the app, you can use the "PowerApps" connector in Power BI to pass the selected records from the report to the Model-Driven app. The PowerApps connector can be used to pass the selected records as a table of records, which can then be used in the app to perform further review on all the selected records.
In the Model-Driven App, create a new form that will be used to view the selected records. This form should have fields that match the fields in the Power BI report.
Create a new business process flow or flow to populate the selected record in the form, this process can be triggered by an onload event on the form or by a button.
Once the process is triggered, the selected records from Power BI will be passed to the Model-Driven app, where users can review them in more detail.
Please be aware that this feature is only available for users that have a PowerApps Plan 2 license or Dynamics 365 license. Also this is more of a technical task and you may require the help of a developer or someone familiar with Power BI, Model-driven app and power automate to achieve this.
