I am trying to search the First Name field in Advanced Find with more than 1 letter, for example: The First Name just says "A", I want to exclude these because they are useless to my search, as well as any other values with just 1 character string, I want a name that has 2 or more characters.
The only way that I can think of is to create a separate whole number field and develop a plugin that handles create/update of the record/record field and update the length of the field and use that field in your queries.
What kind of plugin? Sorry I'm not familiar with what that is? I know how to create workflows, can I use that with a custom field?
Plugins are extensions to OOB business logic you can add to the platform - learn.microsoft.com/.../tutorial-write-plug-in
But it would obviously require some coding skills.
If you're online you can use a simple Power Automate Flow to populate the length field. Check this - www.enjoysharepoint.com/.../
