I am working on a user security authorization process. Does any one has idea can we provide user control on financial dimensions also. Let suppose i have 2 accountants and 10 cost centers. each with 5 cost center control. I don't want to provide authorization of other person cost center control to one.
Please provide some more clarity on your question. For sure it is possible to secure records based on contents, but we would need to know the exact use cases to give you the best suggestion.
You didn't really told us what you want to achieve. What is your definition of "to check cost centers"? It'll help if you describe a few business scenarios instead of giving us some vague phrases. If the problem is that you don't really know what you want to get, you'll need to collect requirements before you can think about a design.
I am working on D365. So, idea is let suppose i have got 2 purchase managers and 10 cost centers. Alloted 5-5 cost centers each and every one has their own rights to work on their area but system won't allow 1st purchase manager to check cost centers of another one. My question is can we control this in D365 via front end user security role authorization process.
Can you tell us how the security should work? Is it about posting transactions with these dimensions, data entry, or both? What about viewing posted transactions?
