Start by checking whether the note was actually saved by reviewing the record, Timeline, and Dataverse data. If the information cannot be found there, involve a Dynamics 365 administrator to review audit logs and underlying records. Unfortunately, if the write-up was never successfully saved, recovery options are very limited and the content may need to be recreated.
