Dynamics Customer Portal update values into Microsoft Dynamics 365

Posted on by 55

On the Portal websites we defined a webformular with two steps (based on the campaignresponse entity)

1.      Insert a campaign response (based on the selected campaign)

2.      Update some values on the same campaign response

Everything is fine. ThePortel process the fields descripton, companyname, firstname and lastname and some custom fields. All fields will be updated in the campaignresponse. We can see the result in the advanced find of oft he CRM. After open the record in the CRM, the record fields company, lastname and name will be cleared. There is no JavaScript, Business Rule or Plugin. And these 3 fields are write protected in the CRM Formular. With the other fields is everything ok. How can we solve this problem?

It is only happten for records, created from the portal. I think this is a Microsoft script issue. Now, we use custom fields and it is working fine.

What happen after the auto save. I was expecting that if you disable auto save then you will continue to see the unsaved changes even when you refresh the field. It is possible to be Microsoft script issue. Is it happening only for the records created from portal or for the records created inside crm as well?

Thanks, but it doesn't help. It seems that is a Microsoft script bevor the onload. I disabled the auto save and test the form script sample from Microsoft.

That unsaved changes at the right bottom means that some JavaScript/ business rule is clearing the form values. If after refresh you are not getting the unsaved changes warning that this means the cleaed values are now savd which could be beucase of Auto save feature. Check this if it is enabled? If yes, try disabling it and see if it helps.

The values saved, right (see list view). But there is no custom code in the form. I see the first time unsaved changes but not the values (right bottom corner). We don`t use JavaScript or business rules. After refresh, the unsaved changes not appear again (nothing in the right bottom corner) and the values empty.

    Hi,

If you can see the field values in advance find then this means it is actualy saved in CRM. Now if these are clearing on opening the form then there must be some custom code which is doing this.

When you open the record, do you see unsaved changed in the right bottom corner? If yes then it must be JavaScript/ business rule.

    Hope this helps.
