xRM Replacement PowerApp Portals

Posted on by 60

I am currently on a fork in a path with Portals. We have a significant chunk of work to do with a Portal - its built using the Community Edition, but will need quite a bit more work.

However with the Powerapps Portals around the corner, im not sure weather to abondon this project and wait and develop with Powerapps (we can start already using the existing portals as they will be upgraded in the release) or continue building a legacy outdated portal. I fear we may need to re-build the whole thing in the not to distant future if this is the case.

Here is some basic info..

Obviouslly we wont be sure of the exact functionality untill the release, is anyone on the same journey? Our project is due to release next year so have plenty of time to do it, but I'd rather start sooner than later.

I portal is heavily customised and my concern is that we wont be able to achieve the same kind of functionality going via the PowerApps route..What do people suggest? Also the pricing implications which I believe is a million page views and 5K (GBP) for each additional million views - So I imagine we will need to do some foreasting based on our legacy system.
