Dear Daxperts,

As many of you have already noticed that the standard financial reports which are generated via Management Reporter are making their way into PowerBI. However it is in their native stage as reporting can be done only via Main account and not with any of the financial dimensions (which is in MS roadmap).

Question I have is what is the future of Management Reporter? Till how long does MS support this tool? How do we position this for an existing/prospective customer? Should we scope them under Management Reporter or Power BI? To me, at this point in time, its still Management Reporter as Power BI is not matured enough.

Do you have more information about this subject "Future of Finaancial Reporting/Availabiloity of Management Reporter"

Hello Sree,

Where do you have the info from that MR does not have a future and that MS would not support it?

I have not heard this officially from anybody but would recommend that you join the next spring launch event

dynamics.microsoft.com/.../spring-2018-release

It is for free and I assume that your questions will be addressed there.

So, you have to wait another 2 weeks to get your questions answered.
