Optimize year-end close - no description on the generated opening attachment

Hello everyone,

we have enabled the function "Optimize year-end close" and we closed the year. We want to use this function because without it the closing took a very long time (we have many dimensions and transactions) and the process was often interrupted.

The problem is that with optimization turned on, the attachment description is not generated.

I did the test for a year in which there were few entries. When the closing optimization function is disabled, the description in the attachment is created. If the optimization function is turned on, the description is not created.

Has anyone encountered this problem? I would be grateful for a hint.

Hi,
I have not encountered this problem. Could you please provide some screenshots or paths so that everyone can check whether it is a standard function of the system? Or wait to see if other users have experience with this.

Hi Hana,

System version:

The function is enabled.

Default descriptions set.

The end of the year was a success.

Unfortunately, there is no description in the attached attachment.

If I generate a closing for the same year with the optimization function turned off and with the same other settings, the closing attachment has a description.

To use the Optimize year-end close functionality, you must complete the following tasks:

Install the Optimize year-end close service add-in from your project in Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Service.

Enable the Optimize year-end close feature in Feature management
