I am having an issue with running a custom SSRS report from the 'SalesOrder' entity form context menu. Currenlty the report is configured to be run from 'Forms for related record types' and 'Reports area'.
- I am able to run the report from the 'Reports area' without any problem. In this case, I have to manually add the filter criteria before running the report.
- I am getting a generic error when I run the report from Sales Order entity form context menu. I get a very generic error message. There is no log file to download.
The functionality stopped working after upgrading to CRM v9.0 version. I installed the latest 'Report Authoring Extension' from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=56973. I am able to view the data from visual Studio 2013. I rebuilt the report and uploaded it to CRM and still get the same error.
