Good day! Is it possible to import an excel file to Quote Line instead of doing Write-In Products? If yes, what are the possible steps in doing that?
Thank you,

Is there also a Solution for Business Central 365 (cloud)?
I would like to import quote lines from an excel.
Thanks
Patrick
Hi partner,
Don't forget to mark the verified answer by clicking Yes.
This will help other users quickly navigate to this them.
Thanks. :)
Thank you, sir!
Hi partner,
My last two answers are the solution to this problem.
You can import the Excel file of the quote line, but you must import it using the correct template.
If you are using a custom template, then it must also conform to the import rules. That is, there must be Quote, Write-In Product, Quantity, Select Product, Price Per Unit in your Excel.
These fields are the basic fields of the Write-In Product that make up the Quote Line, which are indispensable.
If you have other properties of the product, you can add them if there are corresponding columns in the template.
Sorry, I can only support users in the forum, and I don't allow other ways to support users privately.
Hi brother,
This is what I am talking about, when you click Add new quote line, instead of putting products manually, is it possible to upload an excel file containing the product information?
PS. Do you have Viber or Teams, is it okay if we talk there? I badly need assistance.
Thank you,
JeromeE
Hi partner,
I don't have a video tutorial. I will take screenshots to guide you.
Once you have successfully imported the Excel file, you could click on the import history, then click "Quote Line Fully Imported" to see the Quote Lines that have been created.
You could double-click to open these records, or you can go directly to Quotes to view them.
Hi Sir,
Do you have a video tutorial on how to use excel file in Quote line? I am already done with importing the excel file after putting some information, what's next?
Thank you,
JeromeE
Hi partner,
Yes, it's possible.
We only need to download the quote line template, edit it and import it to 365.
Here are the detailed steps:
1) Go to Settings > Data Management > Templates for Data Import, select Quote Line, click Download.
2) Open the downloaded Excel file and enter the information for the Write-In Products
It should be noted that there are several columns that must be filled out. (Quote, Write-In Product, Quantity, Select Product, Price Per Unit)
3) Go to Settings > Data Management > Imports, click IMPORT DAT and upload the Excel file.
4) When the Status Reason is Complete and the Successes is greater than 0, then the import is successful, and the number of Successes is the number of quote lines.
Also, please note that the quote name of the quote column must be unique and cannot be repeated in D365.
