The error you're encountering when trying to install Dynamics 365 Productivity Tools—specifically:

    Error Code -2146863614
Cab file required for importing solution with name ProductivityToolsAnchor and publisher name microsoftdynamics

typically indicates a missing dependency or component required for the solution to install properly.

    🔍 What This Error Means

This error is related to Dataverse solution import failures where the system expects a .cab file (a packaged solution file) that includes all necessary components. If the solution depends on other Dynamics 365 apps or components that are not installed or outdated in your environment, the import will fail

    ✅ How to Fix It

Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Check for Missing Dependencies"

      • Go to the Power Platform Admin Center.
      • Navigate to your environment → Solutions → Click on the failed solution.
      • Use the “Show Dependencies” button to identify what’s missing .

        Install or Update Required Apps:
        • If the missing component is a Dynamics 365 app (e.g., Sales, Customer Service), install or update it from the Power Platform Admin Center  .
        • You may need to be a System Administrator to perform this action.

          Ensure Environment Is Properly Configured:

Thanks Nour for your reply !
No, I can't see this Solution deployment in Solution list as made no entry and failed at initial stage. I do have "OmniChannel compoenents" installed as well to make sure if any dependencies for "Dynamics 365 Productivity Tools".

    Hi ZL-1208120128,

The error you're encountering during the installation of Dynamics 365 Productivity Tools via AppSource—specifically:

    🔍 Common Causes

    • Incomplete or interrupted download from AppSource.

    ✅ Recommended Actions

    1. Check AppSource Version Compatibility

Ensure that the version of Dynamics 365 Productivity Tools you're installing is compatible with your current Customer Service environment and Agent Productivity Tools version.

    2. Retry Installation from Admin Center

Go to Power Platform Admin Center or Dynamics 365 Admin Center, and:

      • Remove the failed installation.

      • Retry the installation from AppSource directly.

    3. Clear Solution Cache

If the CAB file is cached incorrectly, clearing the solution cache or restarting the environment may help.

    4. Install Dependencies First

Make sure Agent Productivity Tools is fully installed and updated before installing Productivity Tools Anchor.

    5. Contact Microsoft Support

If the issue persists, raise a support ticket with Microsoft. They can provide the correct CAB file or assist with backend installation.
