I have created a custom Entity form for creating opportunities with lookup fields for both Account and Contact. When selecting the search icon a modal dialog is presented with the available Accounts or Contacts, however a "New" button does not show in the bottom left corner. The user has permissions to create both Accounts and Contacts and on the out-of-the-box Create Contact form the lookup modal does display a New button.
Is there a setting somewhere that determines when the new button is displayed on the modal dialog?
That's not supported at this time, unfortunately. Adding it yourself would be a (fairly complex) custom implementation.
