Reporting Tree of companies not working when using in Reporting Unit field

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 16
I have set up a reporting tree in Financial Reporter to capture a list of 5 companies (Legal entities) within a group structure.

I have then created a P&L and Balance sheet rows definitions.

and finally a column definitions that captures each of the reporting tree companies in the reporting field of each column.

the problem is when i run the report in one of the companies i expect to see the data in the other companies columns to drive from those companies transactions but it just duplicates the same numbers across all columns from the company i am in. what am i doing wrong?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,
    1. You can check out the old threads related to this, it mentions that if you want to see all entities on the first page of the report, you need to select the entity in the "Reporting Units" row in the column definition. If you double-click there, you should be able to select the legal entity. Financial Reporting multiple legal entity summary by dimensions (dynamics.com)

Solved: Cross legal enitites reporting with Management Reporter (dynamics.com)
    2. You can try resetting the datamart once, just to check if this is a refresh issue.
    3. You can also check out this document which mentions steps to view companies side by side and other related information.Generate consolidated financial statements - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
    Best Regards,

    Hi ,

Can you check your tree setup? If you have row defination mapped there?

Thanks all for your help with this. I had the companies in the column definition "reporting unit" field but i didn't also have the companies listed on header of report as reporting tree. All fixed now!
