Cannot save the view using FetchXML Builder.

Posted on by 353

Hi All,

I first time use the FetchXML Builder. When I try to save the changes of my view, there is an error: "Cannot save the View, returned attribute must not be changed" .
What's that mean? I have added two attribute in the link-entity.
Can you please give me instruction. Thanks.Capture1029_2D00_02.PNG

    Hi,

As mentioned in the error, you cannot change the fields of the view, you can however change the filter conditions. If you want to change the field, do it within CRM customization.

    Hope this helps.

Actually In the error information, the "Current Attributes" are my expected attributes I want them to be the columns in my new created View. How to do that? Thanks.

Hi Mahadeo, thanks for replying. I have executed the fetchxml (they are working )before I save it. The error info show the two attributes ---wholesaleprice and retailprice are the link-entity attribute. I don't understand why it compared the the "expected attribute" and "current attribute"?

    Hi..

Is your fetchxml working fine ?

Looks like something wrong with your fetchxml .. test your fetchxml using xrmtoolbox, if there are any issues in fetchxml then view will not be saved
