Problem with timeline view in unified interface for task records

Starting around the end of August 2018, task records in the timeline view in the unified interface always show the name of the last person who modified the task record on the header (top) line, regardless of the field you add to the task card form.
Several months ago, we configured the task card to show the due date on the first line of task records that appear in the timeline. Now, with no changes by us in the instance, the top line for tasks now show "Due Date " followed by the name of the person who last modified the task record. E.g., "Due Date Tim Dutcher".
We are seeing this behavior in a new trial instance as well.
Has anyone else seen this problem?  If so, do you have a work-around?
We contacted Microsoft Support and the latest statement from them is that we can't show the task due date on the first line (header) for task records. But, as I mentioned, the task card was showing the due date just fine until recently. Also, we tried showing other task fields in the header line as well and the same problem occurs: The modified by name always appears, even though that field is not even on the task card form.

RE: Problem with timeline view in unified interface for task records

We are experiencing the same issue for one of our clients. I created a new custom Task Card form (Unified Interface) and didn't even add any User-related field to the form. A User name (Owner? Last Modified By?) is still being mapped to the top line of the Task card in the Timeline. There does not appear to be any workaround for this. No alternative but to tell our client it's a bug. Please give this a higher priority to be fixed.

Is any solution provided for showing (and at the same time filtering and sorting) Due Date om the first line of the activities in Timeline?
