New Unified Interface Calendar Control - way to set default to "month" view?

Posted on by 1,947 Most Valuable Professional

I have enabled the new Calendar control on an entity in the Unified Interface.  The default view shows up as the "week" view but I want to have it default to the "month" view without having to click each time.

Am I missing something obvious or is this not a feature?

Cheers

Nick

Set personal options - Calendar tab:

    Hello Nick,

As Ravi has said, there is no supported way to set the default view from Calendar control.

One way (unsupported) might be to force with JS a click action calling the DOM and using the following Javascript line : document.getElementById("month").click()

You must be very careful, this is an unsupported action and there might be unexpected behaviors if user is accessing Dynamics 365 from a mobile device.

    Regards,

    Rafael

    Hi Nick,

I tried the same and got the same behaviour i.e. defaulted to "week" view. Also, there is nothing in the documentation which talks about setting the view so I don't thing you have missed something, it seemed to be not possible currently.

    Hope this helps.
