How to delete supplier communication agent completely from UAT Env

  • We installed and configured the Supplier Communication Agent about 1 year ago.

  • Earlier, it was working fine and emails were syncing into D365 Finance & Operations correctly.

  • From the last 4 months, it stopped working properly.

  • We updated the Copilot in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management app in PPAC, but the issue was not resolved.

  • Recently, I watched a Supplier Communication Agent demo video (around 3 months old) and compared the Power Automate flows shown in the video with the flows currently deployed in our environment.

  • I noticed that the flows are different, so I believe our old deployment/configuration may be the problem.

  • Since this is only a UAT/testing environment, we decided to completely remove the old Supplier Communication Agent setup and redeploy it from scratch.

  • However, in PPAC, I could not find any option to delete the existing Supplier Communication Agent app/configuration.


    Is there any way to completely delete the old Supplier Communication Agent configuration and redeploy it?

    Hi @Charanch,

    Please disable the supplier communication agent feature from feature manegement - It will disable the features in UAT your environment.

    All the agents will be availble in copilot studio, select the agent and remove or deactivate it from copilot studio.

    Can you describe in detail what you mean by " it stopped working properly"? Have you checked the activity logs via the Agent menu in Dynamics 365. Are flows triggered but resulting in an error?
     
    Depending on the versions of your environment and the one used in the video, your flows are more recent or indeed older. Have you tried updating your UAT to the latest available PQU or higher version?

     The flows are getting triggered but failing to pass the data into d365 f&o at a specific condition in the flow, and current version of my environment is - 10.0.47.

    I don't have a playground available at this moment, but I haven't seen the behavior earlier as you described in your other thread. 
    You mentioned you have 10.0.47. Last week, a new quality update was released for 10.0.47. Please check on LCS (or PPAC) if there are updates for your environment available. It might contain fixes or more recent versions.

    After applying quality update 10.0.47, I am now able to retrieve records in the Follow-up Mail form in D365 F&O, and the flow “Send follow-up emails to vendors with Supplier Communications Agent” is also getting triggered.

    However, within the flow, it is unable to communicate with the “supplier communication agent-outbound” agent and returns an error, as shown in the attached image. Due to this flow failure, draft emails are not being generated in the Follow-up Mail form in D365 F&O.

    I tried publishing the agents in Copilot Studio. I started the publishing process yesterday morning, but the agents are still not published. Since I had earlier re-deployed everything, I suspect there might be a chance that the updated flow is still referencing old agents.

    Could you please let me know:

    • How long does the publishing process usually take?
    • Whether this issue could be related to old agent references after redeployment?
    • Or am I making the setup unnecessarily complicated?

    Hi charanch,

    Usually, you should not republish an agent after deploying an update. Deployment of an agent takes usually 10-60 seconds. If it is not progressing, you can retry or it might be related to permissions or not able to deploy a managed agent.
     
    I don't have an environment now available to verify this. For the DynamicsMinds conference, I have refreshed some environments and don't want to break my prepared demos. 
     
    Are you able to see more details when looking at the input and output parameters of this flow step?

    If the action “Execute Copilot and Wait” runs successfully, we should be able to see the inputs and outputs. However, the inputs and outputs shown below were taken from a different environment flow that executed successfully.

    Have you compared this success log with the error input and output? Maybe you can see a difference in input parameters and the sent values?

    As mentioned, I checked the flows in both environments, and both are taking the same input as shown below:

    However, the successful flow is returning the output I shared in my previous reply in this thread, while the failed flow is returning the following output:

    NotFound
    The request failed. Error code: '404'. Error Message: 'The response is not in a JSON format.'

    Note:
    The input shared above was captured while the flow was in edit mode. During execution, when the flow action fails, the input section is not displayed, and only the following output error is shown:

    NotFound
    The request failed. Error code: '404'. Error Message: 'The response is not in a JSON format.'
