Move notes to a different entity within same org

Could someone recommend the most simplistic method to move notes (and their attachments) from one entity to another within the same org?  The scenario is that we are phasing out a very old process and ultimately plan to remove the custom entity which is involved with this process and replace it with a new entity/business process.  However, over the years, users added notes + attachments to this outgoing entity and we'll still need them associated with the new entity.

    Hi partner,

    You could also use JavaScript to operate the entity ID and copy notes from one entity to another.
