Learning Path Content Missing in Dynamics 365 V9

Posted on by 35

Hi All,

Has anyone noticed that since the upgrade to V9 all of Microsoft's Learning Path content has disappeared?

Having spoken to Microsoft they have confirmed that it was removed for V9 however also sent me the following article which states "Users can view the Learning Path content created by Microsoft if they have CRM Online 2016 update 1 or later"

MS Article

This seems to contradict itself.

Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how to get the Microsoft content back?

    Hi Lu

You have mentioned that "Users can view the Learning Path content created by Microsoft if they have CRM Online 2016 update 1 or later", however, we have seen that in previous versions of CRM, this was included within the Content Library of the Learning Path, that we could use to add to the side bar, but now is not there.

Is there any way to recover this feature, or a reason why this was removed in the V9 update.

    Hi M.V,

Here is a tutorial on "Use Learning Path for your D365 v9.x Organization", which is divided into three sections: (The author is Priyesh Wagh.)

    https://d365demystified.com/2018/12/29/use-learning-path-for-your-d365-v9-x-organization-part-1-setup/

    https://d365demystified.com/2019/01/03/use-learning-path-for-your-d365-v9-x-organization-part-3-guided-tasks/

This tutorial has screenshot for each step, which is great. You could refer to it to complete your learning path.

If you do not set the learning path, then click on the Learning Path button, then we are entering the official Microsoft user guide, not our custom learning path. Like this:

"Users can view the Learning Path content created by Microsoft if they have CRM Online 2016 update 1 or later" This sentence is correct.

Microsoft official user guide describes most of the features of D365 and their steps of use, which is enough for users.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Lu Hao
