    RE: Info about CRM Portals

    Hi,

Refer these to start with Portal development step by step-

    arunpotti.wordpress.com/.../how-to-setup-dynamics-365-portals-in-crm-online

    blogs.technet.microsoft.com/.../using-portal-capabilities-in-dynamics-365-crm

The above should give your enough to create your first portal, configure/ expose CRM entity and set up Portal security.

If you are interested in video training then refer below YouTube playlist which contains most of the Portal components in a structured/ guided way.

    www.youtube.com/playlist

If you want to learn more on portal, start contributing to community by providing suggestions to issue/questions raised by other. This will give you the visibility of what all is possible and how others are using portals :)

    Hope this helps.

    RE: Info about CRM Portals

    Hi partner,

1.A Dynamics 365 portal provides your audience an online location to communicate and collaborate. They can allow people to get support for issues, search knowledge guides and how-to guides, collaborate with communities, suggest new ideas, and learn more about your products and services.

2.There are a few big wins to be had with a properly leveraged portal.

The following articles will answer your 1st and 2nd questions in full.

3.There are many types of portal like "Base portal", "Community portal", "Custom portal", "Partner portal"...

You could read the descriptions of them in Dynamics 365 Administration Center->Solutions.

    4.Go to Portals->Administration->Portal Management

Here are the steps about how to configure and create a portal.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-portal

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards
