Cannot create purchase requisition in D365 FO

Dear all,

I have a problem with creating a purchase requisition. The +New button is greyed out.

I am aware that previously in AX 2012, your user needed to be assigned to a worker through user relations. In D365FO is no such a thing.

I exist as an employee and worker (in Human resources > Workers >Employees or Workers), but I don't know if it is enough.

We also tried to configure purchase requisition parameters as described in the official documentation: created policy rule in the Purchase requisition control rule form, defined a workflow requirement for a unit price on the Workflow submission FastTab, selected it for our organization. After all this, it still does not work.

What else should we try? Is there anything wrong with our setup?

Please, let me know.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Have a great day

Jaroslava

    Hi Jaroslava,

What user role is assigned and are there any customizations on this role or related duties/privileges? Have you checked if the person linked on the order is an active employee? Sometimes persons are duplicated in the global address book. Is this the case and is the wrong person linked?

    Hi Jaroslava,

The user needs to be assigned a worker.

    Hi Mattguo,

thanks for your suggestion. I assigned myself as a person.

But I think I am stuck. I got this message:

"The user ID is not associated with a worker. The user will not be able to use the self-service workspaces until setup is complete."

Which is strange because there is an employee and worker is the system and they cannot be deleted:

"Worker cannot be deleted while dependent Worker exist. Delete dependent Worker and try again."

I don't know what else to set.

    Can you please help me?

    Thank you,

    Jaroslava

    Hi André,

I have several roles: Accounting Manager, Auditor, Purchasing manager, and most important System administrator. There are no customizations.

How can I check if this person with a certain user ID is an active employee? This is really confusing because when creating an employee, I don't see any place where you link the personnel number or worker ID to user ID.

I don't know what do you mean by checking the person linked on the order. I haven't created any order. I just want a new purchase requisition.

    Thanks for your help.

    Have a nice day,

    Jaroslava

    Hi Jaroslava,

So, couldnot you assign a person to user?

This book written by Murray Fife is worth reading: issuu.com/.../configuring_20a_20new_20dynamics_20

    Hi Mattguo,

I could assign a person to a user but it did not help.

    Best regards

I followed the instructions in the book you recommended but I'm still getting this message:

"The user ID is not associated with a worker. The user will not be able to use the self-service workspaces until setup is complete."

    What can I do?

    Thanks

    Jaroslava

    Hi Mattguo,

Actually, it worked! I selected the wrong person because I thought she is the right one (duplicates..).

Thank you very much for your help!

    Have a great day

    Hi Jaroslava,

Glad you found it. I mistyped my sentence. I intended to use the word 'User' instead of 'Order'. I typed it on my mobile, so possibly need to check settings or disable auto-correction.
