How to hide a released product

I would like to stop users being able to select certain service items when raising a PO - is there any way to do this? Is there any way to control that list of items that they see? I would prefer not to delete the released products as they do have existing transactions in the system. Many thanks

Hi Elena, I don't know if there is OOTB functionality for this requirement. You can check this old thread for reference.

    Hi elena,

Scenario you are looking for can be achieved using record level security.
Refer to the below blog and see if it helps.

    Thanks,
    Girish S.

    Hello Elena,
I suspect that you only want to hide these service items from the <requestors>, but would still like your purchasing stafff to see all the items.

Normally, the requestors would not create PO but rather would make their needs known to the procurement staff through Purchase Requisition.  With use of Procurement Catalog and Purchasing Policies you can control who sees what items.  If there are service items that you want you Maintenance Staff to see but not the office staff, you can create a Purchasing Policies with access to a catalog nodes that are meant for Maintenance items.

If that is your case, you can seach for Purchase Rerquisition, Purchasing Policies, and Procurement Catalog and you will find enough information to get something going.

    Hi Elena,
You can view these following links for reference, you can try to go to released product > Action pane Manage inventory > Default order settings for Purchase/sales and inventory  to stop the PO.  Or try to create an XDS policy in D365 that has InventDim as a constrained table. For more details, see the links below:
