Hello ,

Can any one implemented power apps for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

I would like to know which purpose we can use power apps for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

Hi Priya,

Your question is too broad.

In fact, everyone would be able to create PowerApps. PowerApps are applications which can be quite easily created, but sometimes requires more advanced logic. Have you read the documentation already? powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us

An example: We created power apps for a customer to enable counting and replenishment in a retail store. PowerApps are not limited to be used with Dynamics 365 only. You can use a lot of connectors to build applications which suits the needs of your business.

Can you probably define more specific questions if you need more information?

Hi Priya,

PowerApps is a way of creating apps for Android, iOS and Web using datasources from Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. These power apps can be configured using the Windows App or the Builder Browser. The builder provides a range of tools for you to fill up the user interface which includes Forms, Galleries, Control, etc.

The datasources can be SQL databases, Excel worksheets, Data Entities and SharePoint Lists. The data connectors can be integrated with a lot of applications such as LinkedIn or Facebook (There are more than 40+ standard data connectors).

I have created a demo PowerApp as a part of learning, the app displays Inventory on hand for a Android phone (didn't test on other devices).

Another demo app we have been working on, is one where you from a Service Order in FinOps, lookup driving directions from Google (or Bing) Maps.

Hi Rahul,

I am doing the Prospect to Cash from CRM to D365FO through PowerApps.

However, there are errors when I configure the integration for PU15 8.0 D365FO environment.

Have you seen the below error before?

The project template is Accounts to Customers.

"(Time out after 100 seconds for response of POST request from asia-001.azure-apim.net/.../DataManagementDefinitionGroups%252fMicrosoft.Dynamics.DataEntities.ImportFromPackage with client request id d3937096-c782-4428-a1d8-c7b014d637f7), AX import failed"
