Hi,
We have a client with production environment in CRM 2016 update 1. Client needs a sandbox environment.
So the concern is when sandbox environment is purchased, what will be the version of the environment? Will it would be CRM 2016 Update 1 or Dynamics 365 edition?

don't take what I am writing as a confirmation, but if I do recall correctly, sandbox instances can be reset up to the previous 2 releases, so you should be able to reset a sandbox to CRM 2016 Update 1 currently.
