Hi All,

I have a requirement where we have to book a workorder against 2 or more resources for multiple consecutive days.
I tried resource requirement group and using that I was able to book multiple resource but not for multiple days. Any ideas on how to get this working.

I have the same question (0)

you’re running into a common limitation in Dynamics 365 Field Service. Out-of-the-box, Resource Requirement Groups let you book multiple resources against the same requirement, but they don’t natively handle multi-day consecutive bookings in one go.
    Recurring Bookings (Semi-Manual)
    • You can create a recurring booking for each resource via the Schedule Board.
    • After booking them once, open the booking and use the Recurrence option (daily, weekly, etc.) to generate multi-day bookings.
    • Downside → Needs to be applied individually to each booked resource; not group-wide in one click.

Check the above. It should cover what you are looking for.

Yes, unfortunately this is a limitation in the OOTB product, you might have to look at custom code/build option to address this requirement, if you/client is not happy with the workarounds.
We have built an intuitive add-on control to address this limitation for our clients. Let me know if you need more details.

@Shruti A, the link I provided in my post is to the official Microsoft Field Service documentation, on a section that indicates exactly how to book multiple resources for multiple days on Work Orders. This functionality is available OOB and should not require a separate plugin or paid add-on to meet your requirement.

@Tom_Gioielli Thanks for your reply. The MS post suggests to book both resources separately, also it doesn't work for requirement group. I need both the user's availability view together on Scheduled Board like shown in the image below. The resource requirement group does show that view but only for duration equal or less than 8 hrs. which is 1 day.
Any suggestions on how I can make it work for more than 1 day. I tried to it book once and again clicked on book button but while saving it gives an option to rebook instead.
