View Edit Filter Criteria using Contacts

We're trying to create a view that you can narrow down by current user. Usually this wouldn't be an issue and selecting users --> current user should work without issue. Our problem is the implementation of this solution uses a Contact Lookup instead of a User Lookup. Data has been entered and collected for 1 1/2 years now and trying to go back to fix will be a big undertaking.

Is there a way to filter "current user" using a contact lookup field?

What we ended up doing is relating back to the User record in a field on the Contact record. Really it's not the best solution and we'll be doing cleanup later to correct this issue. It also means more maintenance on our end until it is fully fixed. At least now we can relate back to the User Record by filtering down and we finally have an option of "Current User".

    Hi RSanchez,

There is no way to do this, unless you want to filter by the user that owns the contact record.
