FormRef on table extensions not overriding as expected

I'm working on the following:

Table: PurchRFQCaseTable extension(RFQCaseID field)
Form: PurchRFQCaseTableListPage
Desired target reference form: PurchRFQCaseTable (copy)
EDT: PurchRFQCaseId

I'd like the reference form called when clicking the rfqCaseID from the list page to open the record in my new PurchRFQCaseTableCopy form. I've changed the FormRef property on the extended PurchRFQCaseTable to point to the new form. It is notable that this property is editable, but NOT a drop down. The original version of the RFQ is still opening when clicking the blue RFQCaseID field. Any suggestions? Can table extensions leverage the formRef property to point to an alternate form?

Since I can't get the original to work, I'm building out the new, functioning form to match the original.

I did the test with a brand new form and table, referencing rfqCaseID and the desired menu item and it worked!

As I said, I tried overriding FormRef and it worked correctly for me, therefore no overriding of jumpRef() was needed. I don't have enough information to reproduce Karli's problem and identify the cause.

Karli, I suggest you follow what I did and tell us whether it works for you or not. If not, we have a much simpler test case and we can see what you're doing wrong or whether it's a problem with your environment. If it works, it'll be a confirmation that overriding of FormRef works, but there is something in your particular scenario. Then we'll need to continue the debugging, but we will be able to focus on the right problem.

The issue isn't resolved neither the menu item nor the form name entered into the formRef table property changes the form behavior. Can jump ref be overriden for a primary key field with the table relation defined at the extended data type level (like pointing customer id not to open the standard customer form from the customer list page?)
