Not able to select fixed asset group in purchase requisition

Posted on by 20

Hi All,

We are not able to select the fixed asset group in purchase requisition as this option itself is grayed.

Our fixed asset master data is already available in system and all asset groups are available. We are able to select this in purchase order and there is no problem with this selection.

We have checked using system administrator also but no luck yet.

Can anyone please guide us what to do?

Thanks.

Not able to select fixed asset group in purchase requisition
    Hi Experts,

I am facing same issue. Though I have configured 'Fixed asset determination rules', i am still unable to select fixed asset group in purchase requisition. Also what I have observed is, this is working fine for few legal entities and for few, it is not.

    Entity where it is working:

    Entity where it is not:

    Setups:

    Organization wide rule:

    Business rule:

    as Sourva suggested,

    two key things to configure

    1) Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers

    2) Business rules for fixed assets determination

now the FA group can be chose on PR

    Hello Shashi karthikeyan,

First; go to Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers and set as per the following.

--- If you have multiple entities, then determine for which entity you are going to do this. Select that entity and set the fixed asset group.

Point to be noted: - If you want to create different FAs belong to different FA groups, then just click on New and select another FA group for the entity.

--- Next; go to Business rules for fixed assets determination form and select the procurement category.

--- Mention the capitalization threshold, select the currency and effective date in the 'Organization-wide rule' section.

--- Select the organization-wide fixed asset identifier and set the Has qualifiers check box enabled.

--- Also, click on 'Add' and select the fixed asset group as shown in below screen shot.

    --- Save the record.

--- Now go to All purchase requisitions form; create a new PR; select the same procurement category. Click on Fixed assets section.

This time, you will be able to see the asset group. System will automatically select this group based on the setups you have done in above 2 forms.

    Hello Shashi karthikeyan,

Have you done the setups in procurement and sourcing for this purpose?

If you go to Procurement and sourcing > Setup > Fixed assets; there are 2 forms available named "Organization-wide fixed asset identifiers" and "Business rules for fixed assets determination".

You need to do setup in these forms and after that system will turn the Asset group field enabled in PR form.

Kindly check and provide us your feedback.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam
