CRM Configuration Migration - Won't Import All Web Form Steps

We are running CRM Online (v9...) and the Customer Self-Service Portal application.

I have a Web Form that has 18 Steps.

When I use the CRM Configuration Migration Tool to Export/Import from our Dev Instance to our QA instance, only 2 of the Web Form Steps are migrated.

I don't see anything different between the 2 that get migrated and the 16 that don't.

Tried deleting the Web Form in the target instance and re-running the import.  Still brings the same 2 of 18 steps.

Has anyone run into this issue?

    Hi Dave,

    This is because config migration tool by default check the name field to identify if the record needs to be created or updated. If you have more than 1 record with the same name then this happens. This is way it is recommended to set the primarykey field while settign up the schema i.e. Tools >> Configure Import Settings >> under the list of field, select the unique field example accountid, contactid etc and Add field.

    The above will ensure that durign import, the tool will check the guid of the record to identify create/ update instead of name.

    I did some research and found that there are migration issues if multiple Web Forms have Web Form Steps with the same name.

    I made sure all steps have a unique name and the migration succeeded.
