Automatic Changes to the Form

Hello,

We a team of 2 people are working with a solution and both are making changes in the same solution. All the changes are reflected whenever we publish them. But at the end of the day, when we do 'Publish all Customization' then the changes are intact but the very next day we can see the changes made in section level, tab level and even field levels are reverted back.

We had 3 forms in the solution and most of the fields in each form had the same display names. we have noticed this issue is with just one form.
Earlier the form ID itself changed automatically and later on it moved to tab name changes, section name changes, particular sections gets removed automatically next day, fields from other form get populated in this form etc.

I was facing this issue from past 1 week and not able to understand why this is happening. It would be helpful if anyone could help me out.

Thanks in Advance.

RE: Automatic Changes to the Form

    Thanks Goutam. Much Appreciated.

We did try all the above you mentioned before but still it dint work.

I also want to bring to notice that this happens on only one particular form. Changes are reverted for only one form even after we co ordinate and publish.

Even if i make copies of the form, next day the changes can be seen in that copy forms too.

And moreover reverting things are fine and understandable.

But the field moving from one form to other form, changing of guid of form. These are difficult to manage.

We have never moved any fields from any forms as such still everyday we can find some or the other changes in form customizations.

RE: Automatic Changes to the Form

    Hi Greesh,

This is expected behavior . For  example you opened  one forms and doing some changes  , at the same time someone open same forms and did some changes and did published.  Now after that you complete your changes  and publish. Think when you opened the forms you get the earlier stage of forms not the updated one which changes done by other users , which means you are publishing only the old instance of the forms with your changes again, which overwrites other user changes .

There is no workaround at the moment , however you can get rid of this,  by communicating with your team mates in case you are working in same forms. In addition few best practice you can follow -

    1. Always do only "Publish" for any form changes .

    2. Dont keep open forms long time and change.

    2. When you do "Publish All Customization" , make sure you press ctrl+ F5 to refresh the browser .

    3. Communicate each team member before doing ""Publish All Customization".
