Conflict when assigning Application Licenses

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We have a license for:

  •     ProductsDynamics 365 for Sales Enterprise Edition
  •     ProductsDynamics 365 for Team Members Enterprise Edition
  •     ProductsDynamics 365 for Customer Service Enterprise Edition

Initially we purchased one of each and plan to review and evaluate with a view of bringing more users on board.

However when the licenses were assigned to the AD group we encountered errors.  I have been told that I cannot have more than one of these licenses assigned to my account at the same time.  When being assigned we receive the following error:

  •     Message: Unable to update license for this user.  The set of licenses includes two or more service plans which cannot be assigned at the same time. Conflicting Service Plans: DYN365_ENTERPRISE_CUSTOMER_SERVICE, DYN365_ENTERPRISE_TEAM_MEMBERS, DYN365_ENTERPRISE_SALES.

Can some help clear up the licensing for me, I'm struggling to get my head around it.

Is it possible to be assigned each of these licenses at the same time or is there a conflict which we are missing?

You choose either one, then purchase the Add-On for the other one.

Hi.. I'm also getting conflict error message when applying DYN365_ENTERPRISE_CUSTOMER_SERVICE, DYN365_ENTERPRISE_SALES.

    Can't i assign both to a user ?

You cant have all the license type together rather "ProductsDynamics 365 for Customer Service Enterprise Edition" is highest feature license type which support all the main modules in CRM. And "ProductsDynamics 365 for Team Members Enterprise Edition" least Privilege type license which has limited access to CRM features.

    Hi,

You can only assigned one of the license to yourself at the same time. If you want to try another license first remove the license and assign the new one.
