Can't connect to my Office 365 Dynamics 365 site with Plugin Registration Tool

I made an 30-Days-Trial Dynamics 365 site. Currently I am trying to registrate my Plugin.

For this I am using the Plugin Registration Tool. This is my Approach:

-selecting the Office 365 RadioButton.

-Pressing Login

-Logging in with my .onmicrosoft.com account... --> Suceeds

-The tool retrieves many organizations from CRM Online and is stopping by Germany

-The tool asks me to Login again. This time it doesn't accept my credentials

Why?

I am thankful for every Reply.

any further updates on this? I have the same problem. Login credentials work in the browser, but when I try to connect through Visual Studio I get the following:

Error : unknown_user_type: Unknown User Type
Stack Trace : at Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationContext.RunAsyncTask[T](Task`1 task)

Note my current setup was working just yesterday but stopped working today, even though there has been no change on my end.

Current setup = Fidler configured via protocal tls1.2

I use the correct credentials. They work at the Dynamics 365 Login.

The "unknown_user_type: Unknown User Type" error comes from Azure Active Directory, something seems to be wrong with the user you are trying to use to authenticate.

Can you double-check that you are using the right username, from the right Directory?

For a trial your username is typically formatted like this: yourname@organization.onmicrosoft.com

If you are use you're using the right username, try entering username/password in the fields under 'Advanced' anyway.
That skips all discovery all together and goes directly to try and authenticate against your organization.

    Hello Kevin,

It's possible that the global discovery service is running into an issue with finding your specific instance, maybe there is an issue with one of the discovery service in one of the regions.

When you connect, can you try to enable the "Show Advanced" checkbox.

A few extra fields will appear, please select the "Online Region" where your Dynamics 365 organization is provisioned.

No need to enter your username and password in this Advanced section, just click "Login" after selecting the right region.

This will skip all the other regions when trying to connect, and might just do the trick.
