Extension installed but still not an option

Posted on by 2
I have successfully installed the Dynamics 365 Report Authoring extension, but the Dynamics 365 XML Fetch is still not an option for me to select when creating a datasource connection to build the report off of. Can anyone point me in the right direction for figuring out the issue?

    Hello,

I apologize if I'm off on your environment type or if you've already tried this, but you may need to install the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Reporting Extensions onto your SSRS server.

We are an On-Prem environment and the "Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fetch" option isn't there until we install this on the SSRS server.

    Hope this helps,
    Ryan

There were no differences between my install and these instructions except that the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fetch is not an option in the Type dropdown when attempting to add a datasource.
