I know you can setup business rules / Workflow around this but I will explain my requirements:

I have a date field called defect period(which could be 12 months in advance which can vary).. Once this Date is passed I want to set up a warning when saving or stopping you saving to say (The defect period has now passed!) All the checks I have done show defect period - or + Last modified date etc..... which I don't want to do I just want all the checks or conditions based on that one date field and if it is passed.

What is the best way of doing this??? please could you provide screenshots or a  full breakdown of the best process?

Thanks

    Hi,

    From my own opinion,

I would create one more field called defect end date status. Set this field to "passed" if your condition is met ( through schedule console application), and a business rule or JS to check if the status is passed, set field notification, so user will not able to save the form.

    For reporting purpose.

With the status field, we can easily create a report to show or identify how many records are already "passed" or still within defect period.
