Portal Comments - Attachment Identification

Posted on by 70

Hi There,

I've a question, I'm sending a notification email if a portal comment is made. Is there any way I could add identify if an attachment is made. So, in other words is there any fields that tells if an attachment is made.

Regards,

Gary Joel

RE: Portal Comments - Attachment Identification

    Hi partner,

I've tried in my instance and I found a way to do this.

1.Create a workflow based on Note entity and trigger it when creating new record.

2.Set the condition as : If Regarding (Portal Comment):Subject does not contain data AND Note:File Name contains data AND Regarding (Portal Comment):Activity Status equals [Completed],

3.Activate this workflow and go to portal add a new comment and then go to Settings->System Jobs.

The workflow runs successfully. So I believe that we could use this condition to determine whether an attachment has been added.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

    Leo
