formContext.data.process.setActiveProcess(businessProcessProductId2, callbackFunctionBPF) method is working perfectly fine in Google Chrome with version 73.0.3683.103.
However the same method is intermittently working when trying or testing on Internet Explorer with version 11.0.9600.19326
After trying to perform BPF switch on Internet explorer twice, the method is not getting executed on third time.

Ad you can see in the following screenshot provided by Microsoft, Dynamics 365 supports IE11.

You could try to add the website to "Compatibility View" or clear your cookies and caches.
